Job Description

A national environmental consulting firm, located just outside of Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking an Environmental Project Manager.


  • Manage environmental projects, including client and agency interactions, select staff for projects based on anticipated level of effort, and prepare scopes of work for field activities.
  • Report writing for environmental due diligence reports, including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
  • Develop staff skills and competency in field efforts, subcontractor management, data management, and report preparation.
  • Abide by the Company’s health and safety policies and procedures.

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Soil Science, or related field required
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience practicing within an environmental consulting setting
  • 2-3 years managing projects of increasing complexity for external clients
  • Ability to manage staff to complete quality field and office efforts in a timely fashion
  • Experience writing Phase I ESAs, Phase II ESAs, quarterly groundwater monitoring reports, site characterization reports, etc.
  • Relevant experience with environmental sampling techniques, and experience drilling, installing wells and soil borings, and installing / sampling vapor point
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification
  • Working knowledge of USEPA and state environmental regulations preferably in PA, WV and NY, specifically ACT 2 Chapter 245 Storage Tank Cleanup regulations
  • Professional Geologist Certification (PG) a plus
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% throughout the tri-state area
  • Must have a valid driver's license
