Network Account Engineer

A well-established IT managed services firm, located in downtown Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking a Network Account Engineer.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct computer/network diagnostics onsite and remotely to investigate and resolve problems by providing technical assistance and support
  • Perform project-based work consisting of Server, Network and Cloud-based migrations and set-ups
  • Troubleshoot and resolve systems related issues in real time to minimize operational down time
  • Internal network and server management and service
  • Cloud services provisioning and management
  • Remote Access management and service
  • Set up and install computer equipment, cables, operating systems, and other software
  • Spyware and virus prevention and removal
  • Train end users in proper use of hardware and software
  • Configure, maintain, monitor, and back up of servers and appliances
  • Perform and/or oversee software and application development, installation, and upgrades
  • Maintain relationships with customer base
  • Communicate with customers to solve problems, design infrastructure, assist with growth planning, and provide best practice analysis
  • Communicate with vendors and 3rd parties to ensure completion of tasks in a timely manner and to customer's satisfaction
  • Approximately 40-50% travel throughout the tri-state area; could vary from week to week

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in IT-related field and 3-5 years’ experience in a similar position required
  • Experience with Microsoft Server OS and desktop systems is required
  • Customer-service oriented with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Server 2008+, Microsoft Exchange 2010+, VMWare, Hyper-V, firewall and networking configuration, Office 365 migrations and administration, and VPN configuration
  • Preferred experience with: ConnectWise Suite, Autotask, Datto, Cisco Meraki, and Microsoft Azure
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • A registered vehicle and a valid Driver's License is required for occasional trips to client sites (mileage/tolls/parking reimbursed)

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm, with rotating on-call schedule
