Accountant (Audit or Tax)

An established accounting firm in the Pittsburgh area is seeking a couple Accountants, one Audit and one Tax.

Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with accounting and planning services.
• Provide services to manufacturers, retailers, governments and non-profits of all sizes, ranging from entities providing services in southwestern PA to internationally.
• Provide varying levels of service including Financial Statement Preparation, Compilations, Reviews, Audits, and Retirement Plan services.
• Assist clients in addressing Federal or State notices or assessments received. Provide guidance on courses of action to take, as well as assist in communicating with government agencies in resolving any conflicts.
• Prepare individual, partnership, corporate, fiduciary, estate, gift, and nonprofit returns. Service taxpayers in industries such as manufacturing, retail and wholesale, construction, medical, insurance, etc.
• Duties could change or vary based upon experience level.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 2-10 years of related accounting experience, either in audit or tax
• CPA license is preferred, but not required
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Company uses CCH Accounting software – CCH Prosystems, Axcess, and Engagement
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to develop good relationships with clients and co-workers

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (limited remote work available)
