Electrical Engineer

An established architectural / engineering firm, located in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking an Electrical Engineer.  

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for completing electrical construction plans and specifications for multiple types of buildings and facilities.
• Work includes designing lighting, power and low voltage systems.
• Perform electrical calculations for loads, short circuit and other studies to produce high quality deliverables for our clients.
• Will work with a team of Project Manager, Engineers, and Designers across all disciplines.
• Minimal travel to client sites.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering required
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the design of electrical and power distribution systems of buildings; consulting engineering experience strongly desired
• Registered Engineer-In-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) desired
• Knowledge of updated building codes and NEC required
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit
• Competency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience with micro grids, data centers, and prime power generation a plus
• Interest in the application of green engineering principles; LEED AP certification is a definite asset
• Must have creative problem-solving skills, strong organizational habits, and a commitment to client service
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and people management ability

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (Flexible)
