Field Service Technician

A specialized machinery manufacturer, located east of Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking a Field Service Technician.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of specialized, automated industrial equipment.
• Work on electrical systems, low and high voltage 24V to 480V.
• Troubleshoot, change and install electrical components, motors, drives, HMI’s, PLC’s as well as sensors and electronic components.
• Inspect, replace and install mechanical components like chains, sprockets, bearings and shafts.
• Inspect, change and rebuild hydraulic components from hoses to valves and pumps or motors.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks on all machinery and equipment.
• Tools, communication devices and vehicle supplied as needed.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma and/or AS Degree in a Technical field, and a minimum of 3-5 years of related field service experience
• Experience performing electrical, electronics and mechanical maintenance of industrial systems and machinery
• Experience in electronics, PLC’s, computer and industrial electrical work
• Safe workmanship in regards to OSHA and LOTO procedures
• Ability to use and operate hand and power tools, as well as material handling equipment
• Ability to communicate with peers as well as customers
• Must have no lifting restrictions
• Will require 100% local and domestic travel

Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-4:00pm, plus OT (hours could vary)
