Job Description

An established software solutions provider, located just west of Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking a permanent Software Application Consultant.

Responsibilities:

  • Will be responsible for software implementation projects for manufacturing customers, including analysis, specification, design, configuration, coding, testing, commissioning, and Go-Live.
  • Travel to customer sites periodically to foster customer relationships, perform fit/gap analysis, execute testing along-side the customer’s team, and provide training and support for Company’s solutions as part of the Go-Live experience.
  • Support customers with the following:
    • Analyzing users’ requirements
    • Elaborating technical specifications and data interface specifications
    • Collecting standard business processes with users and operations
    • Configuring the Company’s modules and assisting with solver tuning
    • Implementation, customization, and commissioning of Company’s solutions
    • Maintenance and upgrade of current implementations
    • Train customer key users on specific modules

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Development, Physics, Mathematics or Engineering required
  • Minimum of 2 years of software implementation and programming experience required
  • Must have experience with PL/SQL and/or Java, and related programming languages; any Jira or Python experience preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Programming skills and experience with an understanding of relational database structures
  • Experience in implementing and/or supporting planning, production, or logistics software solutions
  • Experience in business and manufacturing operations of the steel/metals industry desired
  • Ability to work with a team on complex multinational software implementation projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical ability and communication skills
  • Must have exceptional time management and organizational skills
  • Must be able to perform well in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Willingness to travel, with an expectation of 25% domestic and international work at customer sites

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (Hybrid work schedule available after 90 days)
